Resources & support

Information about outside sources for help and support.

Luckily, PTSD is treatable and symptoms should dissipate eventually, possibly disappearing entirely, but at the very least it is possible to get symptoms to a reasonably manageable level. Flare-ups in my experience are normal occurrences, however using different techniques I talk about under the self help tab, it's relatively manageable to eventually bring myself back to center.

Please keep in mind that PTSD is a journey of self- self love, self awakening, self understanding, actively listening to the self, and personal growth and change. It takes time, patience, and the understanding that things will eventually get better.

"Some winters are longer and harder than others, and spring follows winter every year."
Karen Thompson
"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer."
Albert Camus

There are many different resources available including therapy, support groups, online support groups, online information, and opportunities to share with the global community in the same fashion I chose to. There are also hotlines you can call in case you are in serious need of an ear. I recommend taking advantage of these, especially if you are feeling your world bottom out and spiral out of control right in front of you. A decent human being won't mind helping another in need. It's better to say "thank you" then to have to say "I'm sorry".
